The White River and the Norfork River should be your next destination for the fly fishing trip of a lifetime! On these tailwaters, almost anyone can go out and land a few fish on their own in low water conditons. But, taking full advantage of the White and Norfork's fluctuating water levels requires one key element: an experienced professional guide and boatman who has the patience, skill and knowledge to make your time on the water a success!
My name is Ron Yarborough and I productively guide over 65 miles of the White River below Bull Shoals Dam and all of the Norfork River for trout, along with over 40 miles of Crooked Creek for small mouth bass.  Logging so many days on the river has left my computer skills a distant second! However, I've created this website with the hope that I can foster a love and appreciation for these beautiful rivers, as well as improve your knowledge and success in fly fishing here.  As a continual work-in-progress, if you don't find the information you're looking for on my website, feel free to contact me anytime at ronflyfish@gmail.com or call (870) 688 -1755. Whether you're searching for a guide or want to tackle these rivers on your own, it would be my pleasure to steer you in the right direction. I look forward to your questions, comments and conversation.  I love to talk fishing!!
Located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains, Arkansas' famous White River and Norfork River offer unmatched fishing diversity, with enough options to satify every fly fishers needs. With several world, national and state records these tailwater fisheries have proven they have what it takes to grow quality fish.  Plus the sheer number of fish here are second to none!

Opening day of the C&R area below Bull Shoals Dam (Feb.1st) on the White River was a great success!  Although it was crowded, my clients landed 67 brown trout (mostly between 19-21inches) and probably twice as many rainbows! Look for the video on my videos page after this stretch of guide trips!
I don't usually count fish but they started it!LOL
2-2-12: Another great day on the White River! Shell with one of many brown trout landed while drift fishing from the boat during the 3 to 6 unit flows! Check out a few of his other fish!
2-3-12: Cold, wet and nasty day but fly fishing was great nonetheless on the White River! Not the biggest fish of the day for long time clients, Jim & Glenn, but the best of several really nice brown trout double hook-ups! It's always a pleasure with these guys!
2-4-12: Long time client and very good friend from Kansas City, Jim landed a good number of very nice browns during his two day trip to the White River.
